Siak, June 15, 2026 – The Community Service Team of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Riau, conducted a community outreach program on Economic Independence in Tualang Village, Siak Regency, Riau Province. The activity aimed to enhance public understanding of the importance of economic independence as a foundation for achieving family welfare and sustainable community economic development.
The program was carried out by the Community Service Team of the Department of Economics, FEB Universitas Riau, consisting of:

During the outreach session, participants gained insights into the development of local economic potential, strengthening community business capacities, and the importance of utilizing available resources to create productive and sustainable economic opportunities.
Through this community service activity, residents are expected to be more motivated to develop their potential, enhance their entrepreneurial capabilities, and strengthen household economic resilience. In line with the spirit of “Together with Tualang: Fostering Innovation and Economic Independence,” this activity reflects the Department of Economics FEB Universitas Riau’s tangible contribution to supporting community economic development through empowerment and self-reliance.
