Pekanbaru, June 12, 2026 – Lecturers of the Development Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Riau (FEB UNRI), Yusni Maulida and Rahmita Budiartiningsih, collaborated with the Ikatan Mondek-Mondek Kuantan Singingi (IMMK) Pekanbaru to organize a Wearable Clothing Bazaar in Jalan Nelayan, Rumbai, at the Riyadul Jannah Kindergarten area. The location was selected due to the large number of residents in need, particularly those living in densely populated areas relatively far from the city center. This activity served as a tangible expression of social concern while promoting the values of togetherness and mutual cooperation within the community.
Through the collaboration between academics and a community-based social organization, the activity aimed to provide benefits to those in need and encourage a sustainable culture of sharing. Rahmita Budiartiningsih stated that sharing with others is not only an act of social care but also a form of worship that brings blessings. According to her, the spirit of giving not only brings happiness to recipients but also provides meaningful benefits and blessings to those who give.
Yusni Maulida and Rahmita Budiartiningsih, together with IMMK Pekanbaru, hope that this Wearable Clothing Bazaar will strengthen solidarity, enhance social awareness, and encourage more people to participate in activities that create positive impacts on society. Through the spirit of sharing as an act of worship, it is expected that the values of compassion, togetherness, and mutual cooperation will continue to grow within the community.
