The Development Economics Study Program (EP Prodi), Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Riau, successfully received a grant from the Independent Campus Competition Program (PKKM) for the 2024 fiscal year. This achievement was achieved after a rigorous selection process based on the quality and feasibility of the proposal, demonstrating the EP Prodi's commitment to improving the quality of economic education and research at the national level.

During the selection process, the UNRI EP Prodi, represented by Rahmita Budiartiningsih, Dr. Ando Fahda Aulia, Dr. Eka Armas Palis, and Cut Endang Kurniasih, along with the Taskforce Team from the Mathematics Education Study Program, the Agrotechnology Study Program, and the UNRI VK Team, participated in the Feasibility Verification stage on March 8-9, 2024, in Jakarta. The evaluation was conducted by Prof. Intan Ahmad Musmeinan from ITB, Prof. Robert Molenaar from Unsrat, and Siska A. Pangemanan from the Finance Department of the Directorate General of Higher Education, resulting in the successful submission of the proposal, valued at Rp 1,985,038,092.
This PKKM grant will focus on the theme "Accelerating Student and Lecturer Competence in International-Standard Sustainable Economic Analysis." The planned activities include improving student and lecturer competency in sustainable economic analysis, as well as developing case-based and project-based courses relevant to job market needs. This initiative is expected to strengthen the quality of UNRI's EP Study Program graduates and establish the study program as a center of excellence in international-standard economic education.
