The Independent Community Empowerment Program (MBKM Mandiri) of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Riau, once again concluded its student internship program at the Pekanbaru Transmigration Community Empowerment and Training Center (BPPMT) of the Ministry of Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia on June 10th. This return trip concluded the practice-based learning process, providing students with the opportunity to directly understand the dynamics of planning, training, and empowerment of transmigration communities.
Through this internship experience, students are expected to integrate development economics theory with public policy practices in the field, while simultaneously enhancing their professional competence, work ethic, and adaptability. The Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Riau, expressed its appreciation for the support and cooperation established with BPPMT Pekanbaru and hopes this collaboration will continue to support the development of superior and competitive graduates.
