The Department of Economics, Development Economics Study Program, University of Riau, in collaboration with the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), held an International Community Service activity focused on improving the quality of MSMEs in Riau Province. The activity, themed "Sharia Business Practices and Export Opportunities for Indonesian MSMEs," took place on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM WIB, in the Judicial Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Riau.
The event featured Professor Dr. Hasanuddeeen Abd Aziz as the first speaker and Prof. Dr. H. B. Isyandi, S.E., M.S., a lecturer in the Department of Economics, University of Riau, as the second speaker. Through presentations and interactive discussions, participants gained insights into the implementation of sustainable Sharia business practices and strategies for developing export market access for MSMEs. It is hoped that this international collaboration will strengthen the capacity of MSMEs and boost the competitiveness of local products in the global market.
