The IMT-GT UNINET Online Talk Series was successfully held on 11 February 2026 under the theme Webinar on the Strategic Role of Youth in Advancing Sustainable Development across the IMT-GT Subregion.The event served as a collaborative platform for academics and students from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand to discuss the strategic role of youth in driving sustainable development within the IMT-GT region.
The webinar featured distinguished speakers from the Centre for IMT-GT Subregional Cooperation (CIMT), Universitas Riau (UNRI), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, and Prince of Songkla University, Thailand. Each presentation highlighted the contributions of young people in innovation, social entrepreneurship, green economy, digital economy, and cross-border collaboration to strengthen regional competitiveness and long-term sustainability.
Through this initiative, it is hoped that stronger synergy among universities in the IMT-GT subregion will continue to grow, along with a reinforced commitment from the younger generation to create meaningful and sustainable impact for society.
